Mtamu Kililo
Mtamu Kililo is an impact design enthusiast, passionate about a more equitable and just Africa. He envisions a reality of this passion through design processes and products that promote economic growth and resilience, particularly in underserved communities.
He is the co-founder and CEO of MycoTile, a company that offers alternative building materials in Kenya. These materials are manufactured using readily available agricultural waste and rapidly growing mushroom mycelium as a bonding agent.
An alumnus of the African Design Centre in Kigali, a prestigious fellowship program offered by MASS Design Group that trains and empowers young people to become creative design leaders, Mtamu Kililo is also currently a Consulting Architect at Cave_bureau, a Nairobi-based firm of architects and researchers exploring the intersection of architecture, urbanism, and nature.

Bill Mwangi is a passionate advocate for innovative and sustainable solutions that empower communities. He is also a visionary entrepreneur with a keen interest in transforming the construction industry by blending architecture and interdisciplinary data analysis to drive positive change.
He is a Co-Founder and the Technical Director of MycoTile which offers alternative building materials; locally (Kenya) manufactured using readily available agricultural waste, (sugarcane bagasse) and rapidly growing mushroom mycelium as a bonding agent.
With a vision that extends beyond traditional boundaries, Bill is shaping the future of architecture, one mycelium brick at a time. His commitment to sustainability, community engagement, and innovative design sets him apart as a leading force in the evolution of the architectural landscape in Kenya and beyond.
